Looks like Dr. Harleen Quinzel has changed her black and red get-up quite a bit.  Could the new look have possibly worked out in Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight universe?  Take a look.

June 23rd, 2009.  Save the date.

Enter BANE! New Batman: Arkham Asylum Trailer released

ATTENTION: We have moved!  Posts and comments will be redirected to our new location at http://angryweb.net.

How incredibly sick does this game look?  With the footage we’ve seen so far, it seems like “Batman: Arkham Asylum” may indeed have a fighting chance of becoming the champion of all Batman games ever.  Let’s just hope this doesn’t pull an Assassin’s Creed on us, as decent as that game was.

“Batman: Arkham Asylum” hits the Playstation 3, X-Box 360, and PC on June 23rd.

And the next PG-13 DC animated movie is…

Based upon the comic series by Jeff Loeb and Ed McGuinness, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is currently in production under executive producer Bruce Timm.  The animated feature has a scheduled fall 2009 release date.  Here’s the plot description:

United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a
kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty
on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime” Batman.
Super heroes and super villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of
Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit super help – to
stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover
Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.

“Batman: Arkham Asylum” will be released on the Playstation 3, X-Box 360, and PC.  The release date is expected to be around Q2, 2009.

Batman banned from Facebook :(

Bad news for the dark knight, folks.  According to The Washington Post, Batman has been banned from Facebook!  Something tells me this is the work of Gotham PD considering the masked vigilante is wanted for the deaths of Harvey Dent as well as two of Gotham PD’s own men.  Despite the unfortunate news, I think he can take it.  After all, he is the watchful guardian…the silent protector…the dark knight 🙂

As a result of this ban, numerous other Facebook users have been additionally affected including members Miranda Batman and Caitlin Batman Shaw, a mental health therapist from Arlington, Virginia who spent three weeks with Facebook’s customer service representatives having her account restored with her rightful name.

Other names banned from Facebook – Yoda, Betsy Super, Bess Pancake, Tim Six, Jeff College, and Chris Blue 😦

With Batman’s absence from the digital world of Facebook, will the threats of anarchy and corruption begin to seep in to the infinitely popular social network?  Will we witness the rise of another MySpace???  Batman, if you’re reading this, we urgently implore you to restore order to this looming atrocity.  Take back Facebook.  We’ll be waiting…

Sam Worthington to replace Bale in the next Batman film?

Bale and Worthington for Termintaro: Salvation.

According to news.com.au, Sam Worthington is rumored to be playing the role of Batman in the next installment of the Nolan franchise. The website said:

Industry gossip now suggests the rising Australian star could score the part of Batman in the third instalment of the successful prequel franchise.

That could mean replacing Bale, his Terminator co-star and The Dark Knight lead, whose profile was damaged after his infamous “me, me, me” meltdown on the Terminator set, which recently hit the internet.

My guess would be that this is complete and utter bullshit. What do you think?

Spidey-musical: Just what I wanted

Since when did the natural progression of super-heroes become comic-books–>cartoons–>action-figures–>feature-films–>Broadway musicals? USA Today reports:

It’s official: Spider-Man is about to make the leap to Broadway — and he’s bringing some very illustrious mortals with him.

Marvel Studios has confirmed that a musical is in development based on the popular superhero, and that Tony Award-winning stage and screen director Julie Taymor and rock superstars Bono and the Edge are on board. The U2 frontman and guitarist will write music and lyrics.

I can already imagine it: Dark Knight: The Desolate Spandex Man where Joker’s line, “You complete…me” would be taken completely out of context. Batman and Joker would fall madly in love with each other and have babies and domestic-spousal issues while simultaneously creating and fighting crime together, starting with Prop. 8. That actually sounds kind of genius! Quick, somebody shoot me before I start pitching it to the Broadway people.
